Dear sooner setting sun, you are a nail polish swatchers nightmare.
Hi everyone! I am frustrated. I love the Orly Cosmic FX collection so much but swatching and taking pictures of them was a nightmare. Swatching them wasn’t bad because of the formula but because of the lighting. First we had rainy weather for weeks with no chance for me to get at least one sharp picture and now the daylight disappears too fast. I need a light box stat.. sigh.
Please bear with me that not all pictures are 100% perfect. I will take new pictures when I have a light box. It seems that this little thingy will be mandatory in fall and winter. *sniffs*
But now let’s take a look at one of the collections I am most excited about this fall!
Orly – Galaxy Girl, three coats
Hmm.. actually this is a stunning nail polish.. if only there wouldn’t be my antipathy towards MAC’s Blue Brown pigment or Club eye shadow. I just can’t love them so I am having trouble loving this polish.

Hello everyone!
I am so sorry that it took so long to post my swatches and review of China Glaze’s Vintage Vixen collection (or other swatches). I have been crazy busy lately plus I had a few unfortunate surprises at home and then something started which stole almost all of the spare time that was left: the football worldcup!
I love love love watching the football (the real football.. unfortunately also called soccer
) worldcup and I am so sad that there are only four games left. One month of worldcup? Not enough! I am already used to have at least one game every day and there will be no game until Tuesday which feels weird now.
But back to Vintage Vixen. The swatches of this collection were on my computer for more than one month now but because of my rare spare time in the evening and on the weekend I couldn’t post them yet. China Glaze’s fall collections are very dear to my heart and I wanted to have enough time to write a proper review.
China Glaze stole my heart with their Rodeo Diva Fall 2008 collection. It was and is nail polish collection perfection and if you can get your hands on for example Guissed Up Green, Midnight Ride or Rodeo Fanatic I highly recommend to pick them up.
But now let’s take a look at China Glaze’s Fall 2010 deliciousness!

There is still no end for the pastel nail trend in sight.
Getting my hands on Illamasqua’s Pastel Nails nail polish collection seemed like a odyssey but after they took a turn back to the UK they finally arrived about a week ago.
Illamasqua nail polishes are quite expensive with 13 GBP per bottle so I was debating a lot with myself if I should buy them or not. If you buy all four as a set you save 13 GBP and get four for the price of three but even then.. 39 GBP plus shipping is a lot for four nail polishes.
In the end I caved because I have never tried Illamasqua nail polishes before and I just love pastel nail polishes.
Let’s take a look at the Illamasqua Pastel Nails collection.

No.. no I just can’t get enough of pastel nail polishes.
After China Glaze’s Up & Away, Essie’s Art Of Spring and Orly’s Sweet (makes mental note to order a few of them) collections now the German brand Essence has released a spring collection called Cute As Hell with four pastel nail polishes. Of course I had to get them.
I was lucky to be the first customer that could take a look at the display from the Cute As Hell collection because I already heard that this collection sells out quick – especially the lavender nail polish.
When Essence releases a collection with predictable popular nail polishes you have to be quick because the displays of the limited editions only hold three nail polishes of every color and the stock in the displays is the only stock the drugstores get. Sometimes you are lucky and the drugstore gets a second shipment (meaning a second display) but still this only would make a stock of six nail polishes per shade.
But enough with the sadness about the limited stock and lets take a look at the swatches.

Hello neons!
Today it snowed again here and the package with China Glaze’s Poolside nail polishes couldn’t have come to a better time. I love winter.. I really do but after weeks of snow where you almost can’t leave the house unless you like to fall down on the streets its enough.
But these bright nail polishes cheered me up.
Before your eyes will start to hurt because of the enormous brightness of these neons please be aware that they are even brighter IRL. Cameras can’t capture the brightness of neons accurate and also computer screens put their head down in shame when it comes to neons.
