China Glaze – Awakening Collection For Halloween 2010: Swatches and Review

Hi everyone!
Brrr it’s cold outside! Now it really is time to dig out my fall/winter boots. But before I grab a hot cup of tea and wrap up in a warm blanket I’d like to show you China Glaze’s Awakening collection for this year’s Halloween.

What China Glaze says about this collection:
Sink your claws into these three ghoulish glitters from China Glaze, perfect for a night of fright! Uniquely alluring and unlike any other Halloween colors before them, this collection is sure to entice.

The minute I saw the first press infos popping up I knew I had to get my hands on them so of course I ordered them the second they were available online.
Let’s take a look at the swatches!

China Glaze – Ick-A-Body, three coats

Glitters.. I heart you. China Glaze describes Ick-A-Body as a “dark green base chock full of orange glitter” which is spot on. The more coats you apply the less of the dark green base color will show through, though like in my swatch. But on the other hand the more coats you apply the more orange glitter deliciousness you have on your nails! 😀

China Glaze – Mummy May I, four coats

Guessing from the first promo pictures Mummy May I reminded me of Milani’s Whimsical but the glitter in Mummy May I is much larger and the base color is a blackened plum instead of black. China Glaze describes Mummy May I as a “vampy, wine colored purple with flecks of hot pink glitter”.
This is my favorite nail polish from this collection but I love pink – so I am biased. 😀

China Glaze – Zombie Zest, three coats

If you think Orly’s It’s Not Rocket Science you think right. They are 99% the same but this doesn’t make Zombie Zest any less awesome. As its twin from Orly Zombie Zest is such a stunning mossy green with green/gold flecks. Loves it. China Glaze describes Zombie Zest as a mossy green shade with gold flecks of micro glitter.

Which one is your favorite?

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed the swatches! :)
Have a great week, guys! ♥

You have great looking nails! I totally love these halloween themed polishes. I just picked up Ick-A-Bod-Y and Zombie Zest can’t wait to do my next manicure, just hope I can pull them off.

  2. I totally had my eye on Zombie Zest, but since I just bought INRS, I’ll probably pass on it. It’s still pretty, though.

Now I HAVE to have Ick-A-Body!

    Great swatches!!!
