NOTD: OPI – Damone Roberts 1968 or the nail polish I missed twice and now finally own ♥

Hi again everyone!
Two posts in one day is very unusual for me because of the little time I have during the week but because I posted the rave about Tracey’s jewelry a day later than planned I have another post for you today guys. :)

OPI’s sought-after Damone Roberts 1968 was a very limited edition from a collaboration with Damone Roberts. As far as I know it was only available at Damone Roberts salons for a short time in 2009 and 2010. I missed the nail polish both times and only could get it on evilbay a couple of months ago. :(
But I am glad that I bought it because it’s such a gorgeous mint green creme.

OPI – Damone Roberts 1968, three coats

*sigh* It’s so pretty. Because I was in a hurry yesterday evening I applied it in a rush which isn’t the best idea for cremes for me. The application was ok but I think with more time it would be much better.

Next to purples, lavenders and greens mint greens are another nail polish color obsession of mine. I just can’t get enough of them! If I only had a bottle of MAC’s Peppermint Patti. :(

What are your nail polish color obsessions? :)
Thanks for looking! ♥

Currently in love with Essie’s Angora Cardi. I tend to love classic colours in neutrals, browns and berries.

    • It was very rushed Smaltoitaliano but I always clean up around my nails and cuticles with pure acetone and an angled brush now. I’ve made the experience that when you apply creme nail polishes too quickly you need one coat more to get everything even which happened with this manicure. :)

  2. Thank you Angeles! :)

I have the prettiest nails? Says the girl with THE prettiest nails AmyGrace? 😀 You make me blush Amy Grace.. I have a huge nail crush on your nails. You are such an inspiration! I love your watermarks. They inspired me to change mine now. :)

Don’t be sad Brooke. :( *hugs*

It’s one of my fav mints if not my fav mint Gotham Polish. :)

*hugs* Smooochie face! Maybe you will get your hands on it one day?

Thank you so much Kate & Zena! I use OPI Nail Envy (matte or original) as a base coat and Essie Good To Go or INM Out The Door as top coats.

Thank you so much Carolyn! :)

Thank you so much too Lindsay!

This is a gorgeous color on you.

What base and top coat do you use, if you don’t mind my asking?
