Multichrometastic layering of the day: Fashion Polish – Shimera over Ozotic Pro Elytra – 529 over China Glaze – Emerald Sparkle

I know I know another layering. I just can’t get enough of them. It’s so much fun to think about which nail polish you could layer over each other, which effects you can get when you layer a jelly over a glitter or crackle/shatter, a sheer shimmer over a creme.. the possibilities are endless.

Today I was unsure which nail polish I wanted to wear for the start of the week. I wasn’t even in the mood to pamper my nails with filing them down, using my beloved Nfu.Oh Cuticle Remover and even painting my nails at all. Sunday blues. But as soon as I thought about a layering I cheered up and started to think.
A few weeks ago Sam from Fashion Polish was so kind to send me a bottle of one of the most beautiful frankens known to mankind: her multichrome franken called Shimera. I wish this franken would go into mass production. It’s a multichrome masterpiece. All of Sam’s frankens are masterpieces but Shimera… calling it a utterly multichrome perfection is even an understatement.

I haven’t worn China Glaze Emerald Sparkle in a while so I thought this had to be my base color for this multichrometastic layering. Because I wanted to squeeze in a bit more glitter awesomesauce I picked Ozotic Pro 529 from the Elytra collection as the nail polish in between Emerald Sparkle and Shimera.

I hope you have enough napkins at hand because I am afraid the following pictures might cause severe drooling again. I apologize in advance.

Coats used in order they have been layered
China Glaze – Emerald Sparkle: two
Ozotic Pro – 529: one
Fashion Polish – Shimera: one

Base coat and top coat
Base coat: OPI – Nail Envy Matte
Top Coat: Seche – Seche Vite

Wow. I love Shimera. So so much. It’s multichrome is comparable to the Ozotic Pro Multi Chromatic nail polishes. Thank you so much Sam for creating such a breathtaking franken.

Shimera covers most of the green from Emerald Sparkle and only a few sparkles of Ozotic Pro 529 show through but this is exactly how I hoped this layering would look. Shimera as the star and multichrome sparkles in between.

I wish Emerald Sparkle would be a perm color. It’s my favorite nail polish and in my most biased opinion it should be released with every of China Glaze’s holiday collections.

     Ozotic is a fab Aussie brand which I was introduced to on Twitter. They have so many pretty nail polishes and especially their Elytra and Multi Chromatic nail polishes are stunning!

      Der Multichrome, den ich als oberste Schicht trage, ist kein Ozotic sondern Sam’s Franken aber die Ozotic Multi Chromatic Lacke haben einen ähnlichen Effekt.

      Bei picturepolish hat es bei mir immer ca. 2 Wochen und mehr gedauert aber leider gibt es bei internationalem Versand fast keine Grenze nach oben, was die Dauer angeht.

      Sadly I don’t know any other etailer besides picturepolish that sells Ozotics and ships international.
      The multichrome I layered on top is a franken and not available for purchase but the Ozotics Multi Chromatics are comparable.
