Hi guys! I’m SO excited to be writing this post! Jeanette is one of my very favourite bloggers and I might have had a bit of a fangirl meltdown when she asked me to do a guest post for her. I was also SUPER nervous. Jeanette definitely runs one of the best blogs in the land and I might have been spastically anxious too. Maybe. I thought for ages about what I wanted to do and decided I wanted to pay tribute to the queen of layering by doing some layering of my own. And of course, since this manicure was for Jeanette, I used a purple base!
I started out with a coat of China Glaze Let’s Groove, then a coat of Sinful Colors Daddy’s Girl. I did Let’s Groove first because Daddy’s Girl takes forever to reach opacity and I already knew I’d be using a lot of layers so I took a shortcut! I did two coats of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Fuchsia (I still hate that those are called chunky holos…) and finished it off with a coat of Nicole by OPI Pitch Black Glimmer. So many capitals! I wish all polishes had black glitter. I use it to add depth to my manicures a lot!
I find the chunky holos just aren’t as interesting in the sunlight, but Pitch Black Glimmer is awesome because it has little blue/holographic bits!
I really hope you lovelies enjoyed my post! I had so much fun working on it and was definitely feeling the effects of the distinctive Kleancolor fumes for a few hours after! 😉 Thank you so much for having me, Jeanette, you know how much I love you, your nails, your cuticles and your blog! <3
