The two words “limited edition” can be cruel. Especially in the case of the stunning Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed from the Nekkid collection. It is the only limited editon nail polish from Nekkid and if I remember correctly it is limited edition because one ingredient is no longer available to produce more.
To save every possible drop of this beauty I decided to layer it over another gorgeous nail polish I purchased recently: Catrice King Of Greens (740). King Of Greens is part of the new Catrice Spring/Summer 2012 assortment and came out a few weeks ago. Its almost seafoam medium-dark green color makes it a perfect base for Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed.
Because I recently learned to love mattified glitter manicures I decided to layer one coat of Essie Matte About You over the layering of Toxic Seaweed and King Of Greens. The matte top coat takes away a bit of the depth of the manicure but I still like it.
King Of Greens doesn’t take much attention away from Toxic Seaweed. You can still see a bit of King Of Greens’ shimmer peeking through Toxic Seaweed but the breathtaking teal-ish green jelly base, the small silver square shaped glitter and the opal flakes are still the stars of this layering.
I wish Toxic Seaweed wouldn’t be limited edition so if you love the look of Toxic Seaweed: Get it while you can!
Have you purchased something from the Cult Nails Nekkid collection?
Thanks for looking and have a great week! ♥
