Illamasqua – Stance nail varnish from Human Fundamentalism Spring/Summer 2012: Swatches, Photos and Review

Illamasqua collections are one of the collections I am most looking forward to. With every new collection you can be sure to not only be blown away visually by their incredible artwork but also to be intrigued by their new products. Illamasqua’s newest collection Human Fundamentalism for Spring/Summer 2012 includes two new creme nail polishes: Nomad and Stance. Nomad is currently sold out on illamasqua.com but I hope it will be back in stock because I’d like to pick it up too. πŸ˜€

Stance – the second nail polish from Human Fundamentalism – is a vibrant color which seems to be undecided if it’s a fuchsia or a purple. It is somewhere inbetween both colors and depending on the lighting it seems more fuchsia or more purple and even has a tiny bit of a neon appearance. It is definitely unique in my colleciton. :)

Stance was sent to me by Illamasqua for review consideration.

The application of Stance was a bliss. It applied easily and was opaque after two coats. With three coats you can darken it up a bit more though. On the nails it also looks a bit darker than in the bottle.
The finish of Stance is somewhere between semi glossy and glossy. It doesn’t have a very strong glossy look itself so I added a layer of top coat.

The true color of Stance is really hard to photograph. Without color correction it looked like a straight up magenta in my pictures. I am still not 100% sure if my pictures are perfectly color accurate because Stance is like a chameleon depending on the lighting (it can look darker and cooler toned) but my swatches are as close to IRL as possible for me. :)
In the lighting in my office for example Stance looks darker and more on the purple than fuchsia side.

Have you purchased something from Human Fundamentalism yet and if yes what? :)

Thanks for looking and have a great start of the week! β™₯
