I adore jellies. I might even be a little lot obsessed about them. What not to love about this lovely finish? It’s smooth, it’s squishy and perhaps even overall adorable. And on top of that it is one of the most versatile nail polish finishes in my opinion – especially the Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup Series of which I am showing you five squishy jellies today.

Whenever a brand releases a new jelly nail polish I start to squee. The last squishfest by a big brand were the six OPI Texas jellies which OPI calls Sorbet. Since then I was also eying the also new Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup nail polishes not only because I was intrigued by their wide selection of 45 (!) jellies but also because I adore the brand Nfu Oh itself and wanted to purchase more nail polishes from them anyhow.

I have first seen the Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup Series jellies on fabuloustreet but they don’t ship to Germany because with Glamour Nails we have our own official Nfu Oh etailer in Germany. Sadly I couldn’t find the Jelly Syrup Series in their online shop and in my desperate need of the Jelly Syrup jellies I contacted the team of Glamour Nails.
Now the bad news are that the Jelly Syrup Series nail polishes are not a part of the German or European Nfu Oh assortment because there sadly is not enough demand for them. The lovely team of Glamour Nails told me though that they should have one of each color in stock and I could order my wishlist via email. Hooray! :) Of course I sent Glamour Nails my wishlist of five Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup jellies immediately. Only JS02 wasn’t in stock anymore so I picked JS03 instead.
The even better news are though that when the stock of one bottle of each Jelly Syrup is gone it won’t be the end for the Nfu Oh Jelly Syrups in Europe. Glamour Nails can order them for us. This time – because they would be directly ordered just on request they have to be prepaid but I don’t mind this at all. The most important thing for jelly enthusiast is: the European Nfu Oh fountain of Jelly Syrups won’t run dry!

Now if you are from the US or if your country isn’t excluded from ordering from fabuloustreet.com you can order them directly from there because the Jelly Syrup Series is a part of their regular assortment. Glamour Nails ships within the EU. There is a third Nfu Oh etailer with viis.ee but they sadly don’t have the Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup jellies.

But now after my story of the journey of ordering them let’s take a look at the squishy jellies! :)

Before I start with the actual review let me mention an important characteristic of the Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup nail polishes.

They are meant to be translucent and sheer. These jellies are intented for nail art – especially layering nail art or perhaps jelly gradients. They are not intented to be worn opaque. But they can be if you apply enough coats.

Which might be deterring for some is actually a huge plus in my book because sheer jellies give us many options to be creative. They are perfect for jelly sandwiches, any layering in general and also jelly gradients. As much as I love two coater jellies I actually prefer sheer jellies because they give us many more possibilies to play.

JS01 – black jelly

A black jelly. Finally! Can you imagine wearing a coat of a gold or silver glitter inbetween the coats of JS01? Oh the possibilities. In these pictures I am wearing five coats of JS01 which makes it 100% opaque. With four coats it would have looked even more squishy because it would have been a tiny bit translucent.

JS03 – light gray jelly

JS03 is a stunning light gray jelly and there are not enough words to describe how much I love it. It’s squishy, gorgeous and even opaque enough with just three coats. I love it.

JS24 – bright warm pink jelly

In the bottle JS24 looks like a red jelly and I was a bit confused at first when I opened the package because I knew I had ordered a pink jelly. Applied on the nails JS24 is a breathtaking warm pink jelly though. It’s perfect. Bright, squishy and it makes my nails look like candy. 😀
I am wearing four coats in the pictures.

JS33 – medium dark murky teal jelly

JS33 looks a bit different to what I expected but this medium dark murky teal is gorgeous nonetheless. It is very translucent and even after five thin to medium coats you can see the visible nail line. I don’t mind this at all though. It’s so pretty.

JS34 – medium forest green jelly

As you might know I love green nail polishes and especially JS34 makes no exception. It’s a perfect medium green jelly and so pretty. Like JS33 it is still a bit translucent after five thin to medium coats. Squishy green perfection.

I can easily say I am in love – jelly love – with the Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup nail polishes and already ordered four more today. This time I focused more on the pastel jellies because I am curious to see if they are as stunning as the light gray JS03.

This series of jellies definitely is a stunning addition to the world of jellies and if you don’t mind using more coats you should love them too. The Jelly Syrup jellies are originally not meant to be worn as a single manicure as they are developed to be used for nail art but also worn alone they are just utterly gorgeous.

The application of all was very smooth. They are not runny and apply easily. Also they are so shiny and I love their shiny and squishy look. If a nail polish looks even shiny in the diffuse light of my lightbox you know they must be very shiny and they are. :)

I am beyond happy that I could order them from Glamour Nails. They were so nice and I must say the overall shopping experince was perfect. The only little point of criticism I have is that the single bottles weren’t wrapped in bubble wrap. All bottles were in a little plastic bag which then was wrapped in bubble wrap. Just to be extra safe I prefer each nail polish to be wrapped in bubble wrap but all my bottles arrived safely because they couldn’t really move inside of the cardboard box.

I am looking forward to the next four Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup jellies I ordered today and I am also looking forward to layer them.

Do jellies have a special place in your heart too? :)

Thanks for looking and have a great week! ♥
