Cirque – French Roast from the Dark Horse Collection: Swatches and Review

Ready for another beauty of Cirque? 😀 Let me present you French Roast, the stunning brown glitter from the Dark Horse collection.

French Roast mesmerized me the second I had it in my hands. It is a rich brown glittery love fest of a nail polish and a perfect alluring shade for the upcoming fall season.
The base of Cirque French Roast is clear so I decided to layer it over a dark base color. Make Up For Ever Black Red from the Black Tango collection – a stunning black with maroon shimmer – was the base of choice.

Cirque French Roast is packed with glitter. One coat of French Roast over Make Up For Ever Black Red was enough for this layering. Even though French Roast is rich of glitter it applies evenly and easy on the nails.

The glitter in Cirque French Roast is beautifully complex. Small brown glitter (microglitter perhaps?), small gold glitter, small holographic glitter and as a cherry on top medium sized copper hex glitter.

French Roast was sent to me by Cirque for review consideration.

Cirque French Roast is a little top coat eater though. Even with my thinner top coat two thicker coats of it were enough for a smooth look. If you apply more than one coat of French Roast you might need to apply a thicker top coat and/or Gelous though.

I am still madly in love with Cirque nail polishes and couldn’t resist ordering four of them. Epoch, Dark Horse, Never Nude and Potosi will hopefully be on my nails soon. 😀

Yesterday was my last day of my two week vacation but I must say I got nothing done in these past two weeks. The first week I spent almost the entire day napping and the second week.. I have no idea where it went. 😮 Does this happen during your vacation too?

Thanks for looking and have a great week! ♥

Love the combo of french roast and black red…! Cirque’s french roast by itself didn’t impres me much on its own… But together with the black red…now, that was Awesome!!! Luv it!
