Bottle Comparison: Grays

This is for you, Marta!

Today I’d like to show you the gray creme nail polishes I have in my collection in another bottle comparison post. I always love to look at bottle comparison posts myself as well and I am very glad that you like them, too!

My love for gray nail polish started when MAC released On The Prowl with their Hello Kitty collection and since then I am always excited when a brand releases new gray nail polishes.

Let’s take a look at the five gray nail polishes I have in my collection so far.

NOTD: Frankenpolish – Space Oddity

My nails are still going through a crisis so I hardly use any nailpolish besides Nail Envy but inspired by Amanda and her blog http://drfrankenpolish.wordpress.com/ I wanted to play and make a Frankenpolish today.

What I used for Space Oddity:
- Manhattan clear base coat
- Nivea Beauté colour mini, 02 French White
- loose eyeshadow/pigment in a midtone-gray with shimmer
- girlactik beauty, glitter/sparkles, White Gold

The pigment and the glitter are gifts from a dear friend and I looked at them today and thought that they would make a great nailpolish. I removed about 1/5 of the clear nailpolish to have some room for the pigment and glitter and added them to the clear nailpolish. Mixed the frankenpolish was a bit sheer and too dark so I added about 2 ml of the white nailpolish.
I used a very little spoon that I still had from a calligraphy set and I added about four calligraphy-spoons of the glitter and about four calligraphy-spoons of the loose eyeshadow.
