I know I am a little late to the MatteVelvet Winter party but I thought quite a long time about purchasing this collection. The matte hype was huge but I don’t want to buy nail polishes just because they are matte. For me (and my wallet) it made more sense to buy a matte top coat to add a matte finish to the nail polishes I already own.

What made me buy them eventually was how they look with a shiny top coat. I couldn’t get the pictures how these three nail polishes look with a shiny top coat out of my head.. and so I cracked and purchased them.
