NOTD: Catrice – Sold Out For Ever (240) .. or hai Chanel Jade dupe!

I am so sorry that I have been MIA in the last week. I’ve been so busy that I couldn’t blog. :(

Today I wanted to show you my current manicure – China Glaze’s Strawberry Fields – but the minute I wanted to take pictures the sun disappeared.

But then I remembered that I haven’t posted the swatches of one of my current favorite nail polishes yet: Catrice’s Sold Out For Ever. I still have to snicker when I read this name. :D
I haven’t seen Chanel’s Jade in person but guessing from all the swatches I have seen of Jade this one is pretty close.
The only difference (IMO) could be the density of the shimmer. In some swatches it looks as if Jade is a tiny bit more shimmery than Sold Out For Ever.

Let’s take a closer look at this gorgeous mint green:

Bottle Comparison: Mint Greens

Happy Easter! :)

An order with Isadora’s Vintage Mint nail polish from their spring collection arrived right in time for a mint green bottle comparison post.

I love mint greens and with the arrival of Vintage Mint and the purchase of Catrice’s Sold Out For Ever my little mint green nail polish collection got two more members this week. I still regret that I’ve sold MAC’s Peppermint Patti a while ago and I hope I can get my hands on it again at some point. :(

Let’s take a look at the five mint green nail polishes I have in my collection so far. :)

NOTD: Essie – Mint Candy Apple

Long time no NOTD! :D

I got a wee bit addicted to nail art and I haven’t had a manicure without Konad, gradients or rhinestones in weeks! After my New Years Eve inspired manicure I wanted to wear something simple again and picked Essie’s Mint Candy Apple for New Year Eve. Oh how I love it!

Creme nail polishes have a special place in my heart and Mint Candy Apple is one of my favorites. The application was great. One sheer coat and one thicker second coat and it was opaque. :)

Layering NOTD: OPI – Breathe Life over Misa – Dirty, Sexy, Money

Because I find OPI’s Breathe Life a little difficult over darker colors like with my last layering on top of OPI’s Russian Navy I wanted to try it over a lighter color yesterday. My last manicure – Misa’s Dirty, Sexy, Money – seemed like a color Breathe Life should work better with.. and it does. :)
This time I only needed one coat of Breathe Life which allows enough of Dirty, Sexy, Money to show through.

NOTD: Misa – Dirty, Sexy, Money

Yum! When the mail man rung this morning I knew it is new nail polish time! :D

One of the nail polishes I got was Misa’s Dirty, Sexy, Money which I was lemming for quite a while and when I saw it on ebay I knew what I had to do.

Of course it had to be the nail polish that I wanted to wear today. :)
