When I walked into my local dm drugstore yesterday I saw a new p2 collection called Sun Love which is including four nail polishes. Unfortunately only two colors were left. Because I wanted to take a look at the two missing nail polishes I went to another dm drugstore today and yay.. they were still there.

To my surprise I also saw another p2 collection called Colors In Motion also including four nail polishes.
So I did what I had to do and bought the two missing Sun Love and the four Colors In Motion nail polishes.

Let’s take a closer look at the Colors In Motion nail polishes first.

The taupe trend has reached my local drugstore.

Recently the German brand p2 (a store brand from the dm drugstores) changed their product range. With this change they unfortunately discontinued a few great nail polishes but fortunately replaced them with 8 stunning new shades and a matte top coat.

The most popular color of the new p2 nail polishes probably surely will be Rich & Royal (208). I couldn’t get my hands on it with the first shipment of the new product range because it sold out very quick but today they got a new shipment and I did what I had to do.. I grabbed it (and a backup.. just in case!).

Rich & Royal looks like if Chanel’s Particulière and MAC’s Cool Reserve made love. It is cooler toned than Particulière but warmer than Cool Reserve. It looks like if is right inbetween them.
In comparison to China Glaze’s Channelesque it is less mauve.

Round two of my p2 nail polish swatches!

After the three lavender and purple nail polishes I’d love to show you the olive, teal, blue and dark burgundy part of my little p2 stash today.

I still can’t get over the fact that nail polishes that are available here at German drugstores contain opal flakes. OPAL FLAKES!
Unfortunately these nail polishes are limited edition and if thats not even bad enough drugstores only get a very limited amount of them here. The collections of p2 or Essence are sold in displays and they usually only hold three of each nail polish. Another bummer is that in contrast to the perm nail polishes that are 1,55 Euro these are 2,25 Euro and also are 7ml instead of 8ml.

But enough with the sadness.. on to the swatches!

I never thought that this would happen.. ever! A european brand that is available at German drugstores releases nail polishes with opal flakes? Am I dreaming? I must be!

When I walked into my local dm drugstore today to buy a few things for the weekend I saw the new display of p2′s new Private Color Party collection. P2 and Essence release limited collections with makeup and nail polishes every month here and while I don’t really care about the makeup (♥ MAC ♥) I now always take a closer look at their limited edition nail polishes.

While the Essence Go Snow collection nail polishes were a huge letdown for me (sheer, frosty mess = skipped them) these three nail polishes from p2 look breathtaking!
