NOTD: Lancôme – Indigo Paris aka the nail polish I should have worn way earlier

Hi everyone!

Long, very long time no post – I am so sorry guys! The last weeks have been crazy and the sooner disappearing daylight hasn’t helped either when I am home late. I think it’s time.. time to buy a light box. Do you have recommendations? I am thinking about buying one from the German evilbay soon and I would love to read about your experiences with premade light boxes and their lighting.

Before I can’t stop chatting about light boxes let me show you a nail polish I’ve neglected for way too long: Lancôme’s Indigo Paris from their 2009 (!) Declaring Indigo collection.
This is the first time I am wearing this nail polish. It was sitting since the end of last year or the beginning of this year in my Helmer waiting to be worn – I should feel ashamed because this nail polish is beyond stunning:

KOTD: Floral Green

Hi everyone!

Long time no KOTD! Polish Hoarder from polishhoarderdisorder.blogspot.com wrote in a comment that she misses my KOTDs and I missed them too. I was really stressed lately so I had no time to play with my Konad stuff but today I couldn’t wait any longer and had to do a Konadicure again!

This Konadicure is dedicated to Guillaume who helped me to get my hands on Outta Bounds! :)

NOTD: Misa – A Sin Worth Committing

Good morning/afternoon/evening dear readers!

After all this OPI and etailer drama it is time to look at cheery nail polish swatches again. However I will leave the OPI rant post sticky on top of the page because this nail polish drama is making massive waves right now and I am still upset about OPI.

In the last weeks I was very busy because it was time for a change so I was looking for a new job and found one.
I will start on Monday and because I will be at the office every day and won’t sometimes work from my home office I also have to work on a new blogging schedule. I think sooner or later I will need a good Crappy to take pictures when it is already dark outside when I come home. :o

But enough with the rambling – let’s take a closer look at this stunning shimmery royal blue:

Comparison: Nars – Purple Rain & China Glaze – Let’s Groove & Zoya – Yasmeen

One of the current most popular nail polishes surely is Purple Rain by NARS. When I saw the first swatches of Purple Rain I knew that I had to have it.

I only rarely buy expensive nail polishes but this dark shimmery purple.. I had to buy it and it was love at first swatch. :D

However when I’ve read that there are two possible dupes available with China Glaze’s Let’s Groove and Zoya’s Yasmeen I had to get them as well. Not only to compare them but especially because the little backup devil wanted me to buy a Purple Rain backup and I didn’t wanted to cave. You are not winning this time, backup devil.. hear me!? :D

Let’s take a closer look at how close Let’s Groove and Yasmeen are to Purple Rain. Dupe or no dupe? Let’s find out. :)

NOTD: OPI – OPI Ink

Very long time no NOTD. :o
I wasn’t feeling well in the last week so I had a little break from nail polish.

It started when I applied a nail polish I was really excited about: OPI’s Jade Is The New Black. Such a stunning color.
A beauty to look at and the application was great. But then.. just after less than a day just right in time before I could take pictures.. it chipped. Because I wasn’t feeling well anyhow I couldn’t be bothered to even remove it and so I just applied Nail Envy over the chipped spots to at least protect my nails. I was wearing this “look” for a few days and then I removed it and just applied Nail Envy.

But of course the craving for a new manicure came back so I picked a classic to celebrate my love for nail polish: OPI’s OPI Ink. :D

Let’s take a closer look at this stunning classic purple beauty:
