Hi everyone!
I know, I know. Beeing tired of taupe cremes? Crazy talk!
But seriously. So many brands are releasing taupe/brown-gray/greige/indefinable nail polishes that at some point you could get a bit overwhelmed or even bored by them.
With Ingrid from their Vintage Vixen Fall 2010 collection China Glaze brought a breath of fresh air into the taupe hype with adding a bit of shimmer to the nail polish.
I am not tired of taupe cremes yet and I must admit: the more the merrier but after a few days of wearing American Apparel’s Mouse I got bored and wanted to remove it. Right in time an order with three CND Effects nail polishes arrived so I decided – inspired by Ingrid – to layer them on top of Mouse before I would remove it.
Let’s take a closer look at how CND’s Gold Sparkle, Jade Sparkle and Sugar Sparkle look over Mouse.
Edit alert! I added pictures of Crimson Sparkle and Amethyst Sparkle.

Hello everyone!
Can you own too many taupes?
Because I still can’t pass on a taupe nail polish my taupe stash is still growing. The last addition to my taupe collection is American Apparel’s Mouse and next week I hopefully can get my hands on the two LE ArtDeco taupes from their current nail polish collection.
Today I’d like to show you one of my favorite and the surely most hyped taupe: Chanel’s Particulière.

When I walked into my local dm drugstore yesterday I saw a new p2 collection called Sun Love which is including four nail polishes. Unfortunately only two colors were left. Because I wanted to take a look at the two missing nail polishes I went to another dm drugstore today and yay.. they were still there.
To my surprise I also saw another p2 collection called Colors In Motion also including four nail polishes.
So I did what I had to do and bought the two missing Sun Love and the four Colors In Motion nail polishes.
Let’s take a closer look at the Colors In Motion nail polishes first.

Unfortunately my head doesn’t agree with the smell of nail polish and nail polish remover right now so I couldn’t make a new manicure.
One thing I love to look at, besides manicures and nail polish swatches, are bottle comparisons so I thought I could take pictures of my taupe nail polishes and show them to you today. I love taupe nail polishes and I still have a few on my wishlist like OPI’s Over The Taupe and American Apparels’s Mouse. There is no such thing as enough taupes, right?
Let’s take a closer look especially at how Chanel’s Particulière compares to my other taupe nail polishes.

The taupe trend has reached my local drugstore.
Recently the German brand p2 (a store brand from the dm drugstores) changed their product range. With this change they unfortunately discontinued a few great nail polishes but fortunately replaced them with 8 stunning new shades and a matte top coat.
The most popular color of the new p2 nail polishes probably surely will be Rich & Royal (208). I couldn’t get my hands on it with the first shipment of the new product range because it sold out very quick but today they got a new shipment and I did what I had to do.. I grabbed it (and a backup.. just in case!).
Rich & Royal looks like if Chanel’s Particulière and MAC’s Cool Reserve made love. It is cooler toned than Particulière but warmer than Cool Reserve. It looks like if is right inbetween them.
In comparison to China Glaze’s Channelesque it is less mauve.
Let’s take a closer look at this beauty.
